Where to Invest $100,000 Right Now, According to Experts

Investors face a dilemma. When the S&P 500 finished its worst quarter since 2022 last month, diversifiers like bonds and bitcoin fell too.

Even with the turnaround in mid-April, analysts at Goldman Sachs and Vanguard have projected low-single-digit annualized returns from 2024-2034.

Bloomberg asked where experts would personally invest $100,000 for their March monthly edition.

One answer that surfaced for a second time? Art.

It's what billionaires like Bezos and the Rockefellers have privately used to diversify for decades.

Why?

  1. Appreciation. The ArtPrice100 Index outpaced the S&P 500 overall from 2000 to 2025

  2. Low-correlation. The postwar contemporary segment has moved independently of traditional investments like stocks since ‘95.*

  3. Resilience. A scarce, physical, and global asset class with decades of demonstrated demand.

Thanks to the world's premier art investing platform, now anyone can invest in works featuring legends like Banksy, Basquiat, and Picasso, without needing millions.

Releases & Reviews

Named for racing legend Tazio Nuvolari and limited to just 499 units, the Nuvolari pairs the Lamborghini Temerario's twin-turbo 4.0-liter V-8 with three electric motors. Audi claims zero to 62 mph in 2.6 seconds and a top speed beyond 217 mph (349 km/h), with prices starting near $686,613.

Built on the Bronco's off-road-ready Sasquatch package with 35-inch tires and Fox shocks, the Filson borrows the Raptor's twin-turbo 3.0-liter V-6 but tunes it for a smoother drive. Inside, a 20 percent quieter cabin gains ventilated seats and removable Filson storage bags. Expect pricing to start around $75,000.

Technology, Market Data & Analysis

Trade groups including the Alliance for Automotive Innovation have petitioned the U.S. Treasury and Commerce departments, warning that the AI data-center boom is draining the global supply of memory chips and driving up costs. With new domestic capacity years away, automakers fear the squeeze will reach buyers.

Hybrids drove the month as gas hovers above $4 a gallon: Kia set an all-time record with 80,502 sales (up 11 percent), and Hyundai's hybrid volume jumped 90 percent. Ford was the notable loser, sliding 13.3 percent to 181,627 vehicles as Mustang, F-Series, and Expedition all dipped.

Car Culture

Hand-built by Florida's Ronald Valentine over more than a decade, the Nano Bee is a compression-ignition single with a 2mm bore, 0.006cc of displacement, and a connecting rod as thin as a fingernail. It actually runs, spinning to 12,800 rpm on a kerosene-and-ether brew, and sells for about $500.

Oxfordshire's Theon Design strips this air-cooled 964 to just 2,527 pounds (1,145 kg), then fits a naturally aspirated 4.0-liter flat-six making 421 horsepower (314 kW) and 324 lb-ft (439 Nm)—enough to top a current 911 GT3 on power-to-weight. Just six will be built in 2026, from $585,000.

Miscellaneous

The factory-built S680 Guard is the closest thing money can buy to the U.S. president's armored 'Beast.' It earns Mercedes' top civilian VR10 rating—stopping armor-piercing sniper rounds across the whole car, not just the panels—and adds V-12 power and run-flat tires. Pricing and buyers stay secret.

YouTuber Red Beard's Garage took a $949, 22-horsepower (16 kW) Harbor Freight Predator 670 V-twin and went full send: an Amazon turbo, Holley Sniper fuel injection, billet rods and pistons, and a hotter cam. He plans to run 12 psi of boost, then race it against his supercharged Predator kart.
